Staycation With My Fiancée's Mother
A lakeside break, a future mother-in-law who flirts back and a wedding still on the calendar: this is how a family getaway becomes a secret.
Staycation With My Fiancée's Mother is a five-episode Candy Shorts drama in which a groom-to-be and his future mother-in-law begin an affair by the lake. You can watch the opening two episodes with just a free account; the other 3 are locked.
A lake, a getaway and the wrong in-law
Holidays are supposed to bring families closer, and in Staycation With My Fiancée's Mother that is exactly the trouble. A man spending time by the water with his bride-to-be's family slips into an easy, joking rapport with her mother, and the joking stops being harmless sooner than either of them expected. By the time they admit what is happening it is a full affair, carried on while the woman he plans to marry is never far away.
From there the series becomes a study in close calls. One moment brings the pair to the very edge of discovery, and developments neither of them saw coming threaten to drag the whole thing into the open.
If wedding-season guilt is your genre
Staycation With My Fiancée's Mother suits viewers who like infidelity drama where the danger of discovery matters as much as the romance. It sits in a small cluster of Candy Shorts titles about grooms and their future in-laws, including Bachelor Party With My Fiancée's Mother and One Room With My Fiancée's Mother. Whether the remaining three are worth it is the question our Candy Shorts review sets out to answer.
